Dr. Alan Dechter
DDSDr. Dechter received a BS degree in Zoology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1978. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland Dental school in 1982. He has been practicing at this location for 42-plus years. He has been consistently rated among the top dentists in the area in both Checkbook and Washingtonian magazine. Someone asked him why he became a dentist. The answer was simple, he likes fixing things and playing with gadgets! As a child, he was constantly taking things apart and putting them back together. Fast forward to now, and Dr. Dechter remains passionate about the new technologies, materials, and techniques developing in modern dentistry.

Dr. Matthew Moy
DDSDr. Matthew Moy earned his B.S. degree at the University of Maryland at College Park, graduating magna cum laude in 1999. He then completed his D.D.S. degree in 2003 at the University of Maryland Dental School. Shortly after, Dr. Moy joined Dr. Dechter’s practice as a partner. He is a very conscientious and devoted person, and we have received numerous compliments from patients on his gentle and caring approach. Currently, Dr. Moy is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), Southern Maryland Dental Society (SMDS), and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He has also received elite training at The Dawson Academy in which he has dedicated many hours of postgraduate education to learn how to care for patients at the highest ethical and professional level. He has completed the core curriculum and achieved the recognition of a Dawson Scholar. Dr. Moy enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 sons. His hobbies include traveling, pinball, Lego, and sports.
